I am so excited that everyone will soon be able to read the third installment of the Read ’Em and Eat series, Read to Death. Sassy is worried to the point of frazzle when it looks like Bridgy might be the suspect in a murder investigation, so Sassy’s run-ins with the always handsome but sometimes officious Lieutenant Frank Anthony intensify.
Everybody’s favorite residents of Fort Myers Beach are back: Aunt Ophie, Skully, Chef Extraordinaire Miguel Guerra, and the many book club members and cafe patrons that wander in and out of the Read ’Em and Eat Cafe and Bookstore. The Teen Book Club has upped their game and may drive Sassy to distraction but Fort Myers Beach News reporter Cady Stanton is surprisingly adept at communicating with teenagers. Who knew?
And as circumstances get murkier for Bridgy, her mother, Emelia, flies down from Brooklyn to help and brings a surprise guest. I have to say that the interaction between Emelia and her sister, Aunt Ophie, is sometimes cringe worthy but always interesting.
Read to Death will grace bookshelves everywhere on July 5, 2016 but is available for pre-order now at all the usual places. Click through to my Where to Buy page for direct links and a search engine to find the Independent Book Store near you.
I can’t wait to hear what you think about Read to Death.
